A MESSAGE FROM CAMP B’NAI BRITH OF OTTAWA’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS

As a former camper, staff member, supervisor and son of a former CBB Board Chair, it is my honour to guide and work with our Board of Directors to continue the long-standing mission and traditions that have made Camp B’nai Brith of Ottawa what it is today! We have been providing Jewish children with the summer of their lives for over 80 years.

Founded in 1935 by B’nai Brith, CBB of Ottawa remains an institution of Ottawa’s Jewish Community, with deep historical ties to the Jewish communities of both Montreal and Toronto.

Our Board of Directors is comprised of highly committed professionals, including CBB Alumni, serving in a variety of roles and responsibilities. Prior to taking the Chair position, I co-Chaired the Facilities Committee, committed to the betterment of our facility. Our Committee has successfully undertaken a variety of rejuvenation projects over the last few years in order to better serve our community and campers.

Jewish summer camp builds Jewish identity, community and leaders. Connection to the Jewish community is enhanced significantly by attending Jewish summer camp and we are proud to have been growing the next generation of Jewish leaders for over 80 years!

We invite you to join us in our journey. There are a multitude of ways to get involved, from board membership to Committee membership, to registration as an Alumnus and attendance at Alumni events, to sending your children to CBB of Ottawa, to coming up and seeing us on visiting day. As well, donated funds continue to assist our rejuvenation and help underprivileged kids have the summer of their lives.

There is nothing more gratifying than watching all of our campers arrive at camp full of smiles and laughter and leaving with much more. The Board’s collective wish is to ensure that the next generation can spend their summers at CBB of Ottawa making new friends, and creating memories that will last a lifetime!

We are very excited to have you visit us up at camp so you can see firsthand all that we have to offer. Welcome to the CBB of Ottawa family!
