Creativity is core to every child’s development, and at CBB, all kids are given the space to shine in their own way.
Drama
Let your silliness out! Drama period is always fun. With encouragement from our awesome drama staff, campers enjoy icebreaker and improv style theatre games designed to get them out of their shell and just be a bit wacky! Outside of regular programming, any camper can participate in the camp plays. This is totally optional—for some kids, it’s the highlight of their summer!
Dance
Situated in the center of camp, right across from flagpole and the dining hall, our dance stage is always hoppin’! Campers have lots of fun and get great exercise on this stage during regular programming, whether they’re learning the latest hip hop moves or practicing a yoga pose. This center stage is also where campers can be seen practicing for or performing in one of CBB’s famous dance shows.
Arts & Crafts
Our fully stocked A&C hub is a favourite spot amongst campers! Whether it’s creating a new line of jewelry out of beads, making their twentieth gimp friendship bracelet for all their friends, painting a masterpiece, sculpting clay using our new pottery wheels, or tie-dying a plain white tee, kids have a blast making beautiful summer mementos with the help of our fantastic arts & crafts specialists.
Woodworking
What a timeless and useful hobby to have! In a safe and protected environment, campers learn how to work on small and larger projects, whether for themselves to keep or something to benefit the camp! Our woodworking staff are trained and experienced in the practice, including proper technique, and carefully follow all safety protocols.
Music
Our passionate and talented music staff just love teaching campers how to play an instrument, or improving on existing abilities. A quiet stroll past the camp’s music cabin is usually interrupted by the sounds of children playing keyboards, drums, and guitar (acoustic and electric). Everyone is encouraged to try! And those bold musical spirits are able to show off their skills in an all-camp music show.
